The UN Climate Change Conference (COP29) held in Baku, Azerbaijan accomplished significant breakthroughs in climate finance, carbon market standardisation, adaptation policy and many other areas. In terms of climate finance, one of the most significant achievements of COP 29 was the agreement to triple climate finance for developing nations. Also for the first time, consensus was reached on guidelines for a centralised carbon market under the UN framework.
